Ministries

The Church on The Hill, ministry does not end when worship concludes. We believe faith is formed in community and expressed through service, care, and commitment to our neighbors. Our ministries and outreach reflect our call to love God and love people in tangible ways. Whether through education, advocacy, storytelling, or direct service, we seek to meet real needs with compassion and integrity.

Community Outreach

Our outreach ministries are rooted in the belief that the church belongs in the life of the community. Through partnerships, service initiatives, and advocacy, we seek to support individuals and families across Harrisburg.

  • Community Based Service Projects

  • Partnerships with Local Organizations

  • Advocacy for Justice and Dignity

  • Care for Those Experiencing Hardship or Transition

Education & Discipleship

We believe spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. Through teaching, mentoring, and shared learning, we nurture faith that is thoughtful, resilient, and rooted in Scripture.

  • Bible Study and Theological Reflection

  • Intergenerational Learning Opportunities

  • Mentorship and Leadership Development

  • Faith Formation for all Stages of Life

Justice & Advocacy

Our faith calls us to seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. We understand justice not as a political slogan, but as a spiritual responsibility grounded in the Gospel.

  • Naming and Responding to Systems that Harm the Vulnerable

  • Engaging Issues that Affect our Neighbors and Community

  • Practicing Faithful Witness Through Action and Prayer

Storytelling & Testimony

We believe stories matter. Sharing lived experiences helps us honor one another, preserve memory, and strengthen community.

Through storytelling initiatives, digital media, and shared testimony, we create space for voices to be heard and wisdom to be passed across generations.

Love Is Patient And Kind, Never Envious Or Proud. It Is Neither Rude Nor Selfish, Does Not Take Offense, And Holds No Resentment. Love Finds No Joy In Wrongdoing But Rejoices In The Truth. It Is Always Willing To Forgive, To Trust, To Hope, And To Persevere Through All Challenges.
